St. Stephen church is from the 13th century, built on the place of a wooden church. During
Mongol's invasion it was damaged. The church was rebuilt afterwards, the 19 Mongol heads of the molding were carved possibly by that time. According to a legend, 20 Mongols were captured, but one has managed to escape, that's the reason for the only 19 heads on the molding.
Miner's church was built in the second half of the 13th century by the German miners settled in. In the 15th and 16th centuries it was enlarged. It became Protestant for a while, but its Roman Catholic again since
Counter-Reformation. The organ, which is the oldest organ of Hungary, is from the 17th century.
